There is nothing like the smell of a Barbecued food to make your mouth water. I tend to do a couple of starters before the main meal. Spicy chicken wings and spare ribs are always a great success.
INGREDIENTS (For 8 Wings)
- 8 Chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- Ground black pepper and salt
- Lime wedges, to serve
METHOD
Stir together the paprika, chilli powder and olive oil with a little salt and ground black pepper, lightly coat the wings with the mixture.
Cook wings on the barbeque for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, make sure they are cooked through and the skin is crispy.
BARBEQUED SPARE RIBS
INGREDIENTS (FOR 4)
- 12 pork spare ribs

- 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons clear honey
- 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- Tabasco sauce (few drops)
- 2 cloves of garlic (crushed)
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper
METHOD
Put the ribs in a large bowl. Mix together all the ingredients and coat evenly. Leave to marinate for approx 6 hours, or over night would be good.
Place ribs on hot barbeque (if you wish you can put tinfoil over the grill) for about 30-40 minutes and brush occasionally with the remaining sauce.
